At Submerge, our teaching philosophy is oriented around what will help you succeed in the real world, making our classes unique from those you may take in any sort of traditional academic environment. We believe that you can be book smart, head smart, and even exceptionally talented, yet without creativity and positivity at work in your life, you might never reach your full potential. The emphasis on cultivating a winning mentality and developing creative thinking exists to challenge you, inspire you, and give you the tools you need to succeed. Classes are taught both live in person and via online video courses. 

classes are broken into two main sections: Inspire and Equip.

__ INSPIRE
The Inspire classes start with the most crucial aspect of personal development: identity. At Submerge we believe that we live out of who we perceive ourselves to be. If we don’t know who we are, or have a positive self-perception, then we will not be able to have true success. The inspire classes focus on identity, mentality, and self-development. In Proverbs it says that “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” If you want change in your life you must first change how you think. Inspire will help you identify roadblocks to growth and limiting beliefs, which will free you to truly live a lifestyle by design.

Essentially, Inspire classes help you answer the questions, “Who am I?” and, “Where do I want to go in life?” while Equip classes help you answer, “How do I get there?”

__ EQUIP
It’s one thing to have vision in life, but if you don’t know how to make the vision a reality then you aren’t any better off than those without vision. Equip classes teach many of the skills required to run any business or organization. Classes include topics such as project management, graphic design, web development, sales, marketing, digital advertising, and personal finance. We know not everyone wants to start their own organization, but we think that with these tools you can be more valuable wherever you may go and work in the future.

__ SPANISH
One of the greatest assets you can acquire in life is the ability to speak another language. Just by living in a Spanish-speaking country you will pick up some of the language, but our Spanish classes provide you with the structural foundation on which to build.

While most people think that learning may only refer to a classroom, at Submerge every part of the experience is filled with purposeful and intentional learning.

 

By working behind the scenes of several organizations, you will get a firsthand look at what is involved in going from conception to execution. This type of hands-on training will bolster your confidence and give you real-world experience. Whether venturing out on your own endeavors after the program or applying for the job of your dreams, you will be able to implement all that you learned in the program.

Many of our alumni have started their own businesses and are self-employed, while others thrive working in creative companies and organizations across the globe.

Why am I here?
 

Sadly, most people live their entire lives not knowing the answer to that question.  Chances are, you have a dream. To have a dream is not rare. Everybody has dreams. However, to live your dream?  That’s rare.  

So why do most people fail and few succeed? Do some people just “have what it takes” to live their dreams while others don’t?  How do you go from living a mundane, boring life into living the life of your dreams? During this class you will find practical tools, hear inspirational stories and you’ll be equipped to unearth the dream that lives inside you.

This series takes an in depth look at this text from Romans 12:1-2.  

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Throughout the Reject series you will be challenged to think about the way that you perceive yourself and what you consider "normal".  You will be inspired to think about your life in new ways as you reject, redefine, and reshape "normal."

The Bloom series will challenge you to step outside of your normal and show the world around you who you truly are.  Classes are custom created based on the various participants of each Submerge class.   

IDENTITY
IDENTITY

Each of us is unique and gifted in various ways. This series begins with a session of quizzes which probe to the core of who you are. Quizzes include Myers-Brigg personality test, Love Language test and more. This will better help you understand both the team you will be working with during the year and yourself.


Identity is pivotal to all that we do and how we relate to the world around us. How you see and think about yourself will directly determine your actions and ultimately your outcomes. This course will challenge you, stretch you and ultimately help you understand yourself  and the importance of Identity more.

THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO CREATE THE LIFE OF YOUR DREAMS

Have you ever been inspired but didn’t know how to put it into practice? While our Inspire Classes are meant to cultivate your growth as an individual, Equip Classes are meant to take the inspiration you receive and harness it into direct results. These classes are designed to sharpen and develop your creative skill set, giving you the tools you need to excel in any work environment.  Centered around foundational tools for success, the skills you learn in class will translate into direct results for your life.

Some of the subjects taught: Marketing, Leadership, Negotiation, Personal Finance, Project Management, Sales, Conflict/Resolution, Public Speaking and Communication, Graphic Design, Blogging, Time Management, and Harnessing the Power of Today’s Technology.

Spanish Class:  Being immersed in a foreign language is the fastest and most effective way to learn. Submerge combines both classroom learning and practical outside the classroom experiences to heighten your immersion experience.  Once you step outside your door you will be surrounded by opportunities to practice what you learn inside the classroom.
